Promotion and improvement of education and vocational training within the framework of lifelong learning for the T.E.I. of Athens- EPEAEK II

Framework:
Undergraduate Studies Program Reform – Education and Primary Vocational Training (EPEAEK II)

Starting Date: 01-05-2003

End Date: 31-08-2008

Budget: 386,068.80€

Description:

The project aimed at the production of integrated polymorphic educational material for a number of subjects of the study curricula. The research team of the Laboratory participated in order to improve the quality of education provided, aiming at raising the effectiveness and competitiveness of the existing educational system.

One of the objectives was the planning and writing the appropriate educational material as well as the investigation of the degree of assimilation of knowledge by the students especially for the following subjects:

  • Physics of Semiconductor Devices
  • Electronics circuits
  • Power Electronics
  • Fundamentals of Nanoelectronics

were among the most important activities of the research team as well as a software application for electronic examination and electronic assessment of students. The group conducts rigorous and exhaustive research regarding various ways of electronic evaluation of students. The results are statistically processed and various comparisons are made among the methods implemented. The various methods for testing the knowledge acquired by the students after lectures, tutoring, laboratory work and also of the educational material packet offer become objects of study and speculation in order to make the correct conclusions with respect to the way of teaching.
